These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of GritMate, including the app, website, and related services. By accessing or using GritMate, you agree to these terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Who can use GritMate

GritMate is intended for individuals aged 16 years and over.

If you are using GritMate through an employer, organisation, or EAP arrangement, your use is also subject to any applicable organisational agreements. These do not override your individual rights under these terms.

What GritMate provides

GritMate provides practical tools, content, and features designed to support self awareness, habit building, and everyday mental wellbeing.

GritMate does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis support.

Not therapy or medical care

GritMate is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric care.

If you are experiencing acute distress, suicidal thoughts, or are at risk of harm, you should seek immediate professional help through emergency services or a qualified health professional.

User responsibilities

By using GritMate, you agree to:

• Use the service lawfully and respectfully

• Not misuse, interfere with, or attempt to disrupt the service

• Not upload unlawful, harmful, or abusive content

• Take responsibility for how you apply the tools and content provided

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details.

Personal content

Any content you enter into GritMate remains your responsibility.

You retain ownership of your content, but grant GritMate a limited licence to store and process it solely for the purpose of operating the service.

We do not claim ownership over your personal entries.

Workplace and EAP use

Where GritMate is accessed through a workplace or EAP:

• Employers do not have access to individual user content

• Any reporting provided to organisations is aggregated and de identified

• GritMate does not provide individual performance or mental health assessments

Intellectual property

All content, features, branding, and functionality of GritMate are owned by or licensed to GritMate.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or exploit any part of the service without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

Features, content, or availability may change from time to time as the service evolves.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Australian law, GritMate is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached or where required by law.

You may stop using GritMate at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
