About Gritmate
How it helps
GritMate gives blokes simple tools to handle pressure, frustration, and distractions on the job.
Something they can use in the moment, not later.

Where it came from.
GritMate started as something personal.
I spent years trying to get better at handling my own head day to day, but most of what I found didn’t help much in real moments. Self-help felt vague, clinical approaches felt removed from everyday life, and neither really held up when things were actually happening.
That gap is what GritMate is built for.
After losing my brother to suicide, it became impossible to ignore how limited the options were. So I started building something I could actually use — simple, practical, and usable in the moment.
Over time, that became GritMate. Not a cure-all, just something that works when it counts.
— Bruce Molloy, Founder
Built on proven principles
GritMate is built on established behavioural approaches focused on awareness, response, and habit.
It helps people notice what’s happening, respond better in the moment, and build steadier patterns over time.
The thinking behind it is solid.
But it’s translated into simple language and practical actions people can actually use on the job.
No theory dumps. No clinical framing. No over complication.

Who it's for
GritMate is built for men who deal with real demands on the job.
Blokes who are expected to stay on track, make calls, handle people, and get through the day without it turning into a thing.
It’s for the everyday moments on site or on shift that can throw you off — frustration, distraction, poor calls, losing your cool, or carrying it home with you.
Not the ones putting their hand up for help.
The ones who just keep going and deal with it themselves.

Why MUTTs and DOGGOs exist
The dogs are not mascots.
They’re a simple way of making patterns easier to see.
The reactive parts. The steady parts. The habits that help, and the ones that get in the way.
It gives people a way to notice what’s going on without overthinking it or making it a big deal.
You’re not the problem. You’re working with patterns.

For blokes who fall through the gap
Not self-help. Not therapy. Something in between.
Some men don’t get much from self-help.
Others won’t go near therapy.
They’re not falling apart, but they’re not handling things as well as they could either.
GritMate is built for that middle ground.
It gives practical tools that can be used early, before things build up or start causing bigger problems.
What GritMate is not
- Not therapy. It doesn’t diagnose, treat, or replace professional support.
- Not motivation. No speeches, affirmations, or forced positivity.
- Not about fixing you. There’s nothing broken to repair.
- Built to sit alongside real life, not take it over.
How to use GritMate
Built for real moments, not routines.
Use it when something kicks off — on site, on smoko, in the ute, at your desk, or when the day’s still sticking with you.
Log the moment, get one practical move, use it, then get on with your day.
